Pass Plus
Pass Plus is a training course specifically aimed at new drivers. Pass Plus builds upon your existing skills and knowledge by improving your ability to anticipate, plan for and deal with many different kinds of hazards. It also takes you onto road types you may not have encountered before e.g. motorways.
Best of all there’s no test at the end of the course (its more like continuous assessment) AND as a reward many insurers offer significant insurance discounts for successful completion.
Pass Plus is made up of six practical modules :
| • |
Driving in town
|
| • |
Driving in adverse weather
|
| • |
Driving on rural roads
|
| • |
Driving at night
|
| • |
Driving on dual carriageways
|
| • |
Driving on motorways
|
Anyone who holds a full UK licence is eligible to take part in the scheme.
How much does Pass Plus cost?
Pass Plus lessons are £23 per hour
The course is normally completed in 6 hours i.e. total cost of £138
BUT!!!!
You can easily save this cost (and usually more!) because of the significant insurance discounts for PassPlus qualified drivers.
The amount you save will depend on the insurance company you choose but typically they offer a “1 Year No Claims Bonus” straight away, which can be anything up to 30% off. When you have successfully completed the course, you are advised to check available discounts offered by the various insurance companies taking part in the scheme.
